Tooley Park Marking Gauge
The Tooley Park Marking Gauge is an interpretation of a classic woodworking hand tool.
The block holding the beam is 90mm wide, 50mm high and 25mm deep.
The beam is 200mm long.
This gauge can hold 3 marking tools.
The beam can also be used with the Marking Gauge Block.
All the metal used in the gauge is brass.
There is a 1/2″ wear strip for longevity.
See how the inserts are kept in alignment with the tightening thumbscrew and prevented from falling out.
You can set the tools up in the inserts without using this holding system perfectly adequately but it does free one hand up to adjust the tool height more easily whilst tightening the thumbscrew.
It also helps to align the holes in the inserts with the thumbscrew.
