JUBB (Jumbo Universal Big Boy) Scriber

Overview of the JUBB Scriber

The JUBB Scriber has the same clamping system as the UBB Scriber but has a larger capacity.

It can hold any marking tool from 7.5mm (19/64″) to 12.7mm (1/2″) in diameter.

The tool handle can be any shape as long as it fits in a 1/2″ diameter hole.

Although the tallest scriber in the range (the height to the top of the body is 58mm) the base is the same size as the UBB, BB and FB scribers (64mm x 25.4mm) so all the scriber accessories fit onto it.

This image shows the marking tool being clamped with a thumbscrew and a cap head bolt. The thumbscrew has a spacer making it easier to turn with your fingers. Remove the spacer when using the bolt so that the bolt head doesn’t catch on the scriber base.

When scribing with a tool which needs more pressure swap out the side and top thumbscrews for the cap head bolt and m5 nut provided. You can apply more torque with a spanner and allen key to make doubly sure the scriber won’t move in use.

When using pencils or marking pens sufficient torque can be applied with your fingers to lock the body in place.

The JUBB Scriber can hold a carpenters pencil. This one fits straight in but you might have to sand the edges slightly with the type of pencil you use. They do vary in size.
