FB (Fat Boy) and SB (Skinny Boy) Scribers

Please note the FB and SB Scribers are suitable for pencils only

Overview of the FB and SB Scribers

The FB and SB Scribers are ideal for scribing work tops, infill panels, chair/table feet levelling etc and with the profile attachment fitted you can scribe mouldings and brick work.

They are the most popular scribers in the range.

The FB Scriber is 64mm x 25.4mm, the SB Scriber is 64mm x 19mm. Both scribers are available in a variety of colours.

With a shortened pencil these scribers fit in the palm of the hand and can get into awkward places.

The SB Scriber is particulary suitable for site work because of it’s size. It’s the most compact in the range and great for getting into those awkward spaces.

If you need to get tight up to a wall and the thumbscrew is in the way take the pivot bolt out and turn it 180 degrees. Equally useful if you are left handed.

The tightening thumbscrew is spaced away from the body of the scriber to make it easier to grip. When tightened the scriber won’t move in use.

The FB Scriber has its own chapter dedicated to it in the “The Stick Chair Journal” written by Christopher Schwarz.

The Versatile Scriber

The tooley park scriber is a great tool to have in the workshop as well as on site.

See how the lip of the scriber can be used as a fence.

All the scribers in the tooley park scriber range (apart from the 2 in 1 FB Scriber) come with the cradle pre drilled for the various accessories available.

You can also use the holes to fit your own base attachment giving you more options with the scribers.

Here an 18mm mdf block has been added to give the scriber more height. You might want to use a curved base for a particular job.
