Fat And Skinny Boy Scribers
Overview of the Fat and Skinny Boy Scribers
The fat and skinny boy scribers are ideal for scribing work tops, infill panels etc and with the profile attachment fitted you can scribe mouldings and brick work.
The fat boy is 64mm x 25.4mm, the skinny boy is 64mm x 19mm. Both boys are available in a variety of colours.
With a shortened pencil these scribers fit in the palm of the hand and can get into awkward places.
The tightening thumbscrew is spaced away from the body of the scriber to make it easier to grip. When tightened the scriber won’t move in use.
The over and under fat and skinny boy scribers can be inverted so that the pencil is below the pivot point. Particularly useful in conjunction with the profile attachment.
these scribers are particular favourites with chair makers who use them to level chair feet. They also them to mark a line around a curved seat or arm for spindle positioning using the front lip as a fence.
The fat boy has its own chapter dedicated to it in the “The Stick Chair Journal” written by Christopher Schwarz.
A great tool in the workshop and on site fitting furniture.
